Dashboard 2.0 constraints

  • There is no public dashboard API.
  • Dashboard names within a tenant must be unique.
  • Curated dashboards can be viewed only for installed integrations.

Tile Limitations per Dashboard

Total Tile Limit: Each dashboard supports a maximum of 28 tiles in total. This includes the following tile types:

  • Metric
  • Resource
  • Alert
  • Ticket
  • Service
  • Schedule
  • NetFlow
  • Logs

Exemptions: There is no limit to the number of Embed and Image tiles you can add to a dashboard.

Metric Tile

  • Avg_over_time,max_over_time, min_over_time: does not give metric name in that response
  • You cannot group with a pod and name it using Kubernetes.
  • Resource with multiple types of metric series data or multiple resources with a given metric series data or multiple resource with multiple metric series data is promQL based.
  • Maximum of 20 resources in PromQL responses
  • Maximum of 3 PromQL supported

Ticket Tile

  • Ticket aggregation using groupBy is not support on “site and resouceGroup” attributes.
  • Tickets can be filtered within a given site name.
  • The ticket tile can support filtering based on atmost one custom field only.

Resource Tile

  • Geo map visualization must have grouby aggregation
  • Tickets can be filtered within a given site name
