Introduction

Discovery refers to the process of automatically identifying and mapping IT assets and resources across the on-premise and private cloud environments within the organization. The assets can encompass servers, routers, switches, workstations, printers, software applications, and other components. Discovery enables you to gain visibility of the entire IT environment for effective security monitoring and inventory management, asset management, and resource optimization.

Discovery deploys collectors into your environment to collect the information related to the resources.
